SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Cleveland Chemical Association sponsors scholarships for deserving college students. This annual Scholarship Program is open to a son, daughter, spouse, or grandchild of a member who has been in good standing with the organization. This opportunity is also extended to the member company's full-time employee base.

Last year's recipients shared their passion for learning and community involvement as they accepted their Awards that would help move them forward in their academic and career goals.

The Scholarship Fund has been established as a significant manner in which the Cleveland Chemical Association can financially assist deserving undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or post-graduate college programs.
The granting of Scholarships is designed to:
Assist outstanding students to achieve a quality academic education by providing moderate financial assistance to qualified applicants while encouraging scholarship candidates to enter the Chemical Industry.
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
The authority and responsibility for making Scholarship selections and amounts, rests with the Cleveland Chemical Association Board of Directors. The program is administered by the CCA's Executive Director, working in conjunction with the current Board President. The Board will determine the annual Scholarship budget based on a percentage of the financial budget.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be either a member, child, grandchild, or spouse of an active member of the Cleveland Chemical Association. This extends to all full-time employees of the said members company.
The above eligibility includes high school seniors, college and graduate students. In addition, high school senior recipients of the CCA Science Fair Award (given at NEOSEF) are also eligible to apply.
Applicants must include a copy of all transcripts and letters of recommendation with their application form, and must be enrolled as a full-time student throughout the academic year.

All applications will be considered. Preference will be given to those students who are pursuing a Chemistry or Physical Science major.

ADMINISTRATION
The Scholarship awards will be based on academic achievement, quality of essay & career statement, extra curricular activities, employment, references, and other information included in this application.
The Scholarship recipient is expected to maintain high academic and personal standards. Evidence of enrollment in a college or university must be furnished to the Association. It is the responsibility of the student to submit the required documentation professionally and on time.
Scholarship awards are usually announced at the Cleveland Chemical Association Holiday Luncheon. Award recipients will be advised by November 2, 2020. Award funds may be distributed directly to the recipient’s college/university, or directly to the student, pending annual determination from the Board of Directors.
